Elgin Water Treatment Plant Shore Protection

This project consisted of constructing a new armour stone revetment, and place new armour stone against the existing shore line protection. This project was located in Port Stanley, off of Lake Erie. Construction was completed in January and February 2010. With the winter months and working around water, safety was the number one priority. This project was constructed in 30 out of 50 working days and was under budget. With this project, we also contracted with BF Enviromental Ltd. to separate the stone at the Carmeuse quarry in Beachville, Ontario. We would like to thank everyone involved in this project including Elgin Area Primary Water Supply System, Stantec Consulting, Arristcraft International, BF Enviromental Ltd, Lafarge Construction Materials and Geldart Trucking. This project had a lot of pre-planning to mitigate the construction and safety concerns that we had to overcome.
