This project consisted of constructing 3000m of up to 450mm water transmission main on Dundas Street in London, Ontario.

The project was constructed in a primarily commercial area. The big box stores and restaurants within the limits of construction made it necessary for major traffic management to maintain a high volume of traffic in all directions.

The project was in three phases which made commissioning the watermain and connections to existing infrastructure difficult at best. L82 designed a comprehensive commissioning plan that detailed step by step the procedure and a schedule that would have minimal disruption to existing water consumers.

Public relations was a key for success on this project with the project management, onsite staff and onsite inspector dealing with the public in a professional manner at all times.

The key for this projects success was the management and construction knowledge of L82 and its construction team, the leadership and liaisons with the owner and the consultant.
